Welcome, 11th May 2008
A warm west country welcome to the website of Chew Magna Cricket Club in Somerset. The village of Chew Magna is located in the picturesque Chew Valley, approx 8 miles south of Bristol in the south-west of England. The Club play their home fixtures at the beautiful Chew Court and have two teams competing in the Adams Exhibitions Ltd Somerset Cricket League. The 1st XI compete in Division B&D Senior in season 2008 after narrowly missing out on the title last time around and the 2nd XI in Division B&D Div 1 after finishing 5th in 2006. The Club also has a Sunday XI and will be continuing to develop the recently formed Youth team. We hope you enjoy your visit.

11 May 2008 - Ones run aground on the beach
Chew Magna First team came unstuck against Portishead at the Lake Grounds yesterday. Posting a modest 178 all out Chew lost by 2 wickets in a close game. report, scorecard and pictures on line now. ART

11 May 2008 - Sid sends Pucklechurch packing
Alan "Sid" Locke bagged 7 for 35 as Chew Magna II comfortably beat Pucklechurch II at Chew Court. Scorecard on line now. ART

3 May 2008 - Ones off to a flier
Chew Firsts got off to a flying start to their B&DCL career. They easily beat their visitors Pak Bristolians at Chew Court this weekend. Report, scorecard and pics on line now. ART

27 Apr 2008 - Ken outshines scoreboard in Chew opener
Ken Mondair blasted a magnificent 119 in Chew Magna`s pre season friendly against Winscombe at Chew Court this weekend. He even outshone the new electronic scoreboard which was used for the first time since its installation last week. Sadly the rest of the team were unable to match Ken`s effort and Chew slid to a 25 run defeat chasing 216 for victory. Scorecard, report and pictures of this match are on line now.
