1st XI v Pak Bristolians (H)

Bristol & District Cricket League
Stuart Broad needs a hair cut which is about as much as I have in common with the leader of England's attack.
I'm pretty sure when England win he doesn't get falling over drunk and told to go to the spare bedroom. I'm very sure he doesn't try to make a pasty and beetroot sandwich not using utensils only his bare hands, and then get the computer out and see how all his pals at other teams got on.
But then again he shares a new ball with a grumpy northerner and I share it with Harptree’s finest in FilerG. And I'm rather happy with that.
Our skipper likes to bowl first which looking at our show pony any chance of a few throw downs batsmen I understand why. So on a hot but close day he wins his first toss of the season and Pak bristolians are inserted. FilerG gets the breakthrough but they bat well and we're looking at chasing 250+ but the King and Charlie Charles Charles bowl like little demons and we get them all out in the last over for 211.
There was talk of rain after tea so with Vile doing middle class things it meant Mr Ives opened with the skipper and it was case of Vile who??
With the first 2 balls of the innings being sent over the pavilion roof and the were 49 for 1 off 7 overs and we just didn't look back. Dasher batting like a dream getting 104 with Tejas and Watto both getting 30 odd and the prodigal son returns in Rowan and he sees us home with 10 overs to spare.
So it's cold apple-based drinks on the outfield then back to Pelican for some fun and games and more rehydration.
Bet Mr Broad would of loved it and I bet he loves a pasty sandwich. But how do you get beetroot juice off an iPad???
