Introducing Tim Sage

No Tim Sage Image

Nickname: Jim

Playing Style: Right Hand Bat, Right Arm Trundler, Hitter Of Big Sixes

Club Debut: 1986

Moved to Chew from Bishop Sutton in 1986. Jim had a very good eye for the ball and was able to hit the quickest bowlers many a mile. Scored 181 not out against Chew when playing for Bishop Sutton at Chew Court (this was out of a target of 220 to win).

Never the most agile in the field Jim turned his arm over to good effect with his swinging trundlers. One of the biggest six hitters to have graced Chew Court.

Never one to back down in an argument.

Left to play for Purnells after one such dissagreement with the President of the Somerset League.

Back now and playing in the Two`s. Usually greets the bowler with one back over his head.
