Introducing Alan Locke

No Alan Locke Image

Nickname: Sid

Playing Style: Right Hand Bat, Right Arm Seamer

Club Debut: 1977

Alan "Sid" Locke came to Chew on a double transfer deal along with older brother Iain. Alan in his younger days was an all action quick bowler with a long run and a short fuse.

Took a record 72 wickets in the 1981 promotion season when he opened the attack with Rhys Thomas.

His batting style was block block whack, but a good eye helped and he often was called upon to smash a quick 40 in the the last ten overs or so.

In his hey day a genuine all rounder who could turn a match in ten overs.

Took 5 years out to raise a family and is now back in the Two`s with his son Sam who shows all the promise of being a second generation Sid.
